Time zone converter
Calculate time differences and convert world clock times between countries for free.
How to use the time zone converter
Choose the city or time zone you want to convert from, then add one or more target cities. The converter shows the current local time in each city, including the date, UTC offset, and whether the result falls on the previous or next day.
Abbreviations like CST, IST, and PST can mean different things in different regions. For accurate results, use city names or IANA time zones such as America/New_York, Europe/London, or Asia/Tokyo.
Times update automatically. Copy an individual result for a message, or copy a shareable link that keeps the selected source and target cities.
Why the date matters for time zone conversion
The gap between two time zones can change during the year. New York and London change their clocks on different dates, and places like Tokyo and Dubai don't observe daylight saving time at all. So the same two cities can sit at different offsets depending on the time of year.
This calculator uses IANA time zones for the selected date, so the offset shown for each city reflects daylight saving time where your browser supports the current rules.
Time zone converter vs meeting planner
Use this time zone converter when
You already know the time and need to see what that exact moment is in another city.
Use the meeting time zone planner when
You need to find the best time for several people across working hours.
If you need to choose a fair slot for multiple people, use the meeting time zone planner instead.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to common questions about converting times across cities and daylight saving time.
-
Choose a source city, then add the cities you want to convert to. The converter uses IANA time zones for the current date, so daylight saving time is handled automatically where your browser has current timezone rules.
-
This is almost always daylight saving time. Countries that observe DST move their clocks on set dates each year, and some places don't observe it at all. So the offset between two cities isn't fixed.
-
Yes. The converter calculates offsets for today's date instead of using a fixed offset forever. This matters for places like New York and London because their time difference changes during daylight saving transitions.
-
Yes. Add multiple target cities to convert one source time into several local times at once.
-
When two cities are far enough apart, the local time crosses midnight. 9 PM Monday in New York is 10 AM Tuesday in Tokyo, the next day. The converter adds a "+1 day" or "-1 day".
-
A timezone converter answers what time one exact moment is in other cities. A meeting planner helps find the best meeting time across several people and working hours.
